What News From the Mark?

I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings for the ... err ... seventh? time.
As always, the first two books kind of dragged on and on, but now I'm with Éomer and the Riders of Rohan, and all is well!
I don't know why, but it doesn't matter at all that I only read about him - Éomer is Karl Urban (or vice versa) and since his part in the movies is so scandalously small, I enjoy him probably more than I should.
Best paragraph ever:
Without a word or cry, suddenly, the Riders halted. A thicket of spears were pointed towards the strangers; and some of the horsemen had bows in hand, and their arrows were already fitted to the string. Then one rode forward, a tall man, taller than all the rest; from his helm as a crest a white horsetail flowed. He advanced until the point of his spear was within a foot of Aragorn's breast. Aragorn did not stir.
Yesterday, as chance would have it, they showed Pathfinder on RTL.
It was of course wonderful to see Karl thus sparsely clothed, but they subtitled the Old-Norse!
It was irritating, if yet somewhat revealing, but it took some of the mystery of the movie away.
I hope the DVD gives one the option of watching the movie without subtitles ... That would be a nice birthday-gift! *hint, hint*
Today, on my way to
irrce , I encountered Sailor-Warriors.
Three of them.
Sailor-Moon, Chibiusa, and Sailor Saturn.
They seemed to be having some kind of photo-session.
It was indeed a strange encounter.
Now I'm going to join
irrce in watching Jurassic Park, yet again.

Date: 2009-08-29 06:48 pm (UTC)Hi, hi!

- "What did you call me?"
*grins*
Und natürlich das Due-South-Zitat ...
Ich glaube, deine Zitatensammlung gefällt mir einfach insgesamt sehr gut!
